-----------------------MINUTES ---------------------------
Mike LaBonte conducted the meeting.

Review of minutes for 25 Apr 2006:

- approved

Announcements - EIA Call for Patent Disclosure:

- No company declared a patent.

AR Review:

- Roy review IQ checks to organize for categories
  - Not complete
  - Created a series of tables.
    1
    2
3 IQ level, test type, IBIS sections
  - Section 1 and section 3 not consistent about whether a
complete pin is required or not.
    - Pin categories:
      - signals
      - power & ground
      - other (vref, etc.)
      - NC
  - The 5 quality levels are not clear.
  - Roy should be able to finish in the next few weeks.

- Mike rewrite parser bug and submit.
  TBD

- Mike categorize checks for next discussion

AR: Mike rewrite parser bug and submit ASAP.

Opens for new items:

Continued discussion of IQ level designations:

- IQ 2.9 probably could be removed
  - We don't care if a file has Copyright and Disclaimer
  - The burden of checks may be too high to have these minor items.

- 4.5.2 changed from REQUIREMENT to TEST

- change categories to
  - IQ OPTIONAL
  - IQ REQUIRED
  - IBIS REQUIRED
    - ibischk
    - non-ibischk (eg. checking voltage range requirements)
  - IBIS CONDITIONAL

- We originally felt LEVEL 0 was passing ibischk

- 4.2.1 gets an ibischk warning if missing on inputs
  - that check should be IBIS REQ

- levels should be:
0 - not checked or fails ibischk
  1 - passes ibischk
2 - passing basic manual checks

- 4.2.6 was a SiSoft request
  - only needed for Schmidt trigger devices
  - category of data conditionally required

- one-line descriptions are tough to compare
- 4.4.5 overlaps 2.8?
- IQ spec has 97 checks, too long,

- Should we have "checks" that are mere suggestions?
  - eg. Do not use [Comment Char]

- IBIS is ambiguous about the nature of requirements
  - eg. Pullup is absolutely required

AR: Mike update spreadsheet and resend

Next meeting:

- Try to use online collaboration software to rework IQ "live".
AR: Mike and Eckhard test MeetingPlace
